Class Size
Class size is limited to 18. Average class size is 14.

Classrooms
Classes are held on the beautiful University of Washington campus.

Class Materials
There are no textbooks to buy. Class materials are provided as part of your tuition.

Internet Access
You will be able to do e-mail and access the Internet on UW computers.

Field Trips
Field trips are an integral part of the program. Past trips have included Snoqualmie Falls, the Port of Seattle, Seattle museums and sporting events and a ferry boat ride to nearby islands. Entrance fees and transportation for class field trips are included in the program tuition.

Two-Day Trip to Pack Forest
As a STEP student, you will take a two-day trip to the Universities research facility at Pack Forest and nearby Mt. Rainier National Park in summer and attend a Seattle Mariners baseball game of a Seattle Supersonics basketball game.

Class and Real-Life Language Activities
During the mornings, you will be in your classroom, improving your English skills. In the afternoons, there will be many different activities planned outside of the classroom. These will give you more opportunities to practice your English.

Your Classmates
The program is open to students from all countries. Students have come from Austria, Brazil, Burma, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Israel, Italy, Japan, Korea, Mexico, Russia, Spain, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, and Ukraine.
