What to Expect
Here are some of the many things you can expect when you study in the SIEBL on the University of Washington main campus.

Before Class Begin

Housing
You are responsible for securing your own housing and transportation while staying in Seattle. You may stay with a host family, in shared housing, in an apartment, or with friends or relatives. On a space available basis, you can obtain accommodation in the UW dormitories, where you also have the option of purchasing meals in the dining program. Medical Insurance
All full-time students should have medical insurance. The UW International & English Language Programs offers inexpensive medical insurance for those who do not have coverage from their own countries. For more information about medical insurance, please go to the Student Services pages...... »

U-Pass (Bus Pass)
As a SIEBL student, you can buy a low-cost bus pass. You can ride the buses in and around Seattle, ride the University of Washington Night Shuttle, and get discounts in many local businesses.

No Smoking Policy
Smoking is prohibited in all university facilities, including those in Downtown Seattle. Please read the smoking policies of the University of Washington and of the City of Seattle policy before you come to class.

Opening Reception and Orientation
There will be an opening reception and orientation. You will be able to meet other students and your instructors, ask questions, and obtain the necessary materials for the program.
