Admission
The SIEBL program size is limited. Therefore, it is very important that you follow the application process carefully to ensure that you have secured a place in this summer's program. Please submit your application by the beginning of June. Please contact us with any questions you have about your application. We will continue to accept applications until the program is full.

Follow these steps to apply:
  1. Download and complete the application form.


  2. In your application packet, include the following required items:
    • a nonrefundable application fee of $50
    • a copy of your TOEFL score report from the Educational Testing Service
    • your letter of financial guarantee and/or sponsorship
    • a copy of your graduate program acceptance letter
    • a copy of the passport page that includes the name and photo of you and all accompanying dependents
    • a 500 word personal statement answering the questions "What is your career and education background?" and "What do you hope to gain from the SEIBL program experience?"

  3. Please apply early to allow for possible delays in getting your visa. We advise all applicants to request EXPRESS mail delivery for overseas mailings. To receive your I-20 by express mail, please include an additional $40 (US). You must include a working phone number.

    It usually takes ten days to process a SIEBL application. Then, we will send you a Visa Eligibility Form (I-20).


  4. After you receive the Visa Eligibility From (I-20), contact the nearest US Embassy or Consulate to schedule an F-1 visa interview appointment.


  5. Pay the I-901 SEVIS Fee ($200).


  6. Take your I-20 and supporting documents to the interview.
